Over the years, there have been many video games that have been announced to great fanfare, only to be cancelled later. These games often generate a lot of excitement and anticipation among gamers, only to leave them disappointed when they are eventually cancelled. In this article, we’ll take a look at the top 5 most hyped video games that got cancelled.

1.  Silent Hills

“Silent Hills” was a collaboration between legendary game designer Hideo Kojima and film director Guillermo Del Toro. A playable teaser, known as “P.T.” was released in 2014, and quickly became a sensation, with many gamers eagerly anticipating the release of the full game. However, the game was cancelled in 2015, following Kojima’s departure from Konami.

The game was announced in 2014 and was set to be an Xbox One exclusive, but was cancelled in 2017.

The game was announced in 2012, but was cancelled in 2013 when LucasArts was shut down by Disney.

However, the game was cancelled in 2011 due to “various circumstances.”

5.  Fable Legends

“Fable Legends” was an upcoming multiplayer action role-playing game that was set in the Fable universe. The game was being developed by Lionhead Studios and was set to be published by Microsoft Studios. It was originally announced in 2013 as an Xbox One exclusive title and was set to be the first multiplayer game in the Fable series.

The game was supposed to feature both cooperative and competitive gameplay modes, with players being able to team up and fight against AI enemies, or take on the role of the game’s villain and try to defeat the heroes. The game was also going to be one of the first Xbox One titles to offer cross-platform play between Xbox One and Windows 10.

However, in 2016, it was announced that “Fable Legends” had been cancelled due to the closure of Lionhead Studios. The game was in development for several years, and its cancellation came as a shock to fans of the series. The closure of Lionhead Studios also meant that any future development of the Fable series was uncertain, leaving fans disappointed and eager for news on the fate of their beloved franchise.
