Red Dead Redemption 3 – What We Know So Far

Red Dead Redemption 3 is one of the most anticipated games in the gaming industry. While there has been no official announcement about the game’s release, there are plenty of rumors and leaks circulating the internet about the game. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the rumors surrounding RDR 3.

Rumors Surrounding Red Dead Redemption 3

The Game is in Development

The biggest rumor surrounding Red Dead Redemption 3 is that it’s in development. While Rockstar Games, the developers behind the game, have not officially announced the game, there have been numerous leaks and rumors to suggest that it’s in the works.

According to several sources, Rockstar Games started working on Red Dead Redemption 3 almost immediately after the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. While this is just a rumor, it’s not difficult to believe, given the massive success of the previous two games in the series.

New Map

Another rumor is that Red Dead Redemption 3 will feature a brand new map. The previous two games were set in the American Old West, and while they both had different maps, they shared many of the same locations.

There is speculation that Red Dead Redemption 3 will be set in a completely new location, potentially outside of the United States. This would be a significant departure from the previous games, but it would also give Rockstar Games a chance to explore new environments and cultures.

New Protagonist

While the previous two games in the series followed the story of John Marston and Arthur Morgan, respectively, there are rumors that Red Dead Redemption 3 will feature a new protagonist.

This isn’t entirely surprising, given that Rockstar Games has always introduced new characters in their games. However, fans are speculating that the new protagonist will be a woman, which would be a first for the series.

Multiple Protagonist

Another rumor is that Red Dead Redemption 3 will feature multiple protagonists, similar to Grand Theft Auto V. This would give players a chance to explore different perspectives and storylines, which could add more depth to the game.

However, this is just speculation, and it’s possible that Red Dead Redemption 3 will stick with a single protagonist, as the previous two games did.

Expanded Online Mode

Red Dead Redemption 2 had a robust online mode, but fans are hoping that Red Dead Redemption 3 will take it to the next level. There are rumors that the online mode will be expanded, with more activities, missions, and customizations.

Some fans are even hoping for a battle royale mode, similar to Fortnite or PUBG. However, it’s important to note that these are just rumors, and there’s no confirmation that the online mode will be expanded in any particular way.

Next – Generation Console Release

Another rumor is that Red Dead Redemption 3 will be released exclusively on next-generation consoles. This would mean that the game would be optimized for the latest hardware, with improved graphics and gameplay mechanics.

This isn’t entirely unlikely, given that Rockstar Games has always pushed the limits of hardware with their games. However, it’s also possible that Red Dead Redemption 3 will be released on current-generation consoles as well.

Red Dead Redemption 3 Possible Setting

There are a lot of options for how Red Dead Redemption 3 could play out. Setting-wise, it is safe to assume that we will once again return to America and México. Unfortunately, that would also mean that not much would change.

Since Rockstar set its first GTA game in London, and since Peaky Blinders has made people very aware of what Birmingham looked like in 1919, it’s not entirely out of the question that Rockstar would set the game in the UK – though it would be the wildest and most surprising of reveals.

Still, considering that Red Dead Redemption 2 took place in 1899, and Red Dead Redemption 1 took place in 1911, a 1919 setting in Birmingham would fit right on schedule.

It also wouldn’t be hard to tie it into the existing storylines, since there are many characters that Rockstar could have ‘escaping’ the Wild West for England. Another setting that people are craving is a Native American theme, as well as something tapping into South America more.

Red Dead Redemption 3 Story

As we mentioned above, the current front-runner in terms of a story is Landon Ricketts. Ricketts wouldn’t stray far from the template set by John Marston and Arthur Morgan, as he is another famed gunslinger whose stories are yet to be told in the game.In Red Dead Redemption 1, we get to meet old Landon Ricketts, but little is known about the story behind the legend, and it’s certainly a story that Red Dead fans are craving to explore.

Another popular story request is to explore the backgrounds of Charles Smith. Charles was one of the most popular characters in Red Dead Redemption 2 and his story basically writes itself: He was born to a Native American mother, and an African American father, and eventually found his way into Dutch’s gang.

Still, there is a lot of story to be told in between: Charles’ ties to Native American tribes, and his life as an underground fighter certainly would lend themselves to craft a story around.

More Wildlife and Hunting

Hunting and wildlife are important aspects of the Red Dead Redemption series, and fans expect the upcoming game to have even more animals to hunt and wildlife to explore. Players may be able to hunt rare animals and craft new items from their skins and pelts.
