When Will FIFA 24 Be Released?
For those who have been living under a rock, FIFA 23 was the last edition of the footballing game as we know it, as EA Sports ends its affiliation with the football governing body. Announced last year, EA Sports revealed that they will be continuing its football series outside of the FIFA umbrella, dropping the name and calling their new game EA Sports FC.
“After nearly 30 years of creating genre-defining interactive football experiences, we will soon begin an exciting new era,” EA Sports EVP Cam Weber said last year.
“Next year, EA Sports FC will become the future of football from EA Sports. Alongside our 300+ license partners across the sport, we’re ready to take global football experiences to new heights, on behalf of all football fans around the world.”
“This new independent platform will bring fresh opportunity – to innovate, create and evolve. This is much more than just a change of symbol – as EA SPORTS, we’re committed to ensuring EA Sports FC is a symbol of change.
There is no release date confirmed yet for EA Sports FC 24 (as many expect it to be titled), but we expect them to follow the pattern of previous FIFAs. The games are usually released on the last Friday of September, or the first Friday of October, depending on which is closer to September 30.
FIFA 23 was released on September 30, 2022, but those who preordered the Ultimate Edition had full access to the game three days earlier on September 27. EA Play also allowed early access from September 27 on consoles, but that was limited to a 10-hour trial if players didn’t have the Ultimate Edition preordered.
Based on that, EA Sports FC 24 could be scheduled for a September 29, 2023 release date with early access on September 26 — but that is just speculation.
New Features in FIFA 24
One of the biggest questions that fans have been asking is what new features will be included in FIFA 24. While EA Sports has been tight-lipped about the game, some leaks have given us an idea of what we can expect. One of the most exciting new features is the inclusion of female managers. This is a first for the series, and it’s sure to be a hit with fans who have been asking for more female representation in the game.
Another new feature that has been rumored is improved ball physics. In FIFA 23, the ball physics were criticized by some fans for being unrealistic. It’s been reported that EA Sports has worked to address these concerns and will be introducing more realistic ball physics in FIFA 24. This should make the game feel more authentic and immersive.
A new mode called “Ultimate Team Draft” has also been rumored. This mode would allow players to draft their own team, choosing from a selection of players to create a dream team. This could be a fun way for players to experiment with different lineups and strategies.
New Licenses and Teams
One of the most exciting parts of each new FIFA game is the addition of new licenses and teams. This year is no exception, with several new teams rumored to be joining the game.
One of the biggest rumors is that the Italian Serie A will be fully licensed in FIFA 24. This would include all of the teams, kits, and players from the league. This would be a huge addition for fans of Italian football and would make FIFA 24 the go-to game for Serie A fans.
Another rumored addition is the Chinese Super League. While this league doesn’t have the same level of prestige as some of the other leagues in FIFA, it’s still a major league in its own right and would give players the chance to experiment with different players and teams.
Gameplay is always a major focus for EA Sports when developing a new FIFA game. While there hasn’t been much information released about specific improvements to gameplay in FIFA 24, leaks suggest that EA Sports has been working on refining the game’s mechanics to make it feel more responsive and realistic.
One rumored change is a new “momentum” system. This would take into account factors like team form, player fatigue, and recent results to create a more dynamic and unpredictable experience. It could also add more weight to the impact of momentum swings during games.
Another change that has been mentioned is an overhaul of the penalty and free-kick system. FIFA 23’s system was criticized by some fans for being too complicated and difficult to use. If EA Sports is able to simplify these mechanics while maintaining depth, it could make these aspects of the game more accessible to players.
Improved Career Mode
Career mode has always been a popular mode in FIFA, but it’s been criticized in recent years for not receiving enough attention from EA Sports. However, leaks suggest that EA Sports has been working on improving the mode in FIFA 24.
One of the most exciting rumors is that EA Sports has added more depth to the transfer system. This would include more realistic player negotiations and more realistic player transfers.
